Earth Week

Earth Day is observing its 40th anniversary this Thursday, April 22. It is now the 3rd most celebrated holiday in the world. It started as a small grass roots movement, and now has 175 countries taking part. Why not plan a simple celebration of your own at home? Plant a tree or a new flowering shrub. Start a butterfly or hummingbird garden, anything to attract beneficial birds, bees and other insects. Get your children involved and make new gardeners out of them.
